Park Shelters offers 10 standard POWDER COAT colors but have the ability to match any RAL color number for a small upcharge. Our colors are guaranteed to last for years due to our exclusive paint process. All metal surfaces undergo a five-stage cleaning and baking process. Our steel is cleaned, pre-treated, sealed and preheated to assure proper powder thickness and adhesion. Electrostatically applied powder has a tough finish with maximum durability.

The pretreatment, powder coating and curing process include, but not limited to the following:

  • Alkaline wash
  • Fresh water rinse
  • Iron phosphate
  • Final rinse & seal
  • Dry-off oven
  • Electra-static powder application
  • Dual zone cure oven

Finished products are:

  • 1.5 to 5.0 mil thickness
  • Convection and/or infra-red oven between 350F (177C) and 425F (218C)
  • Flexibility (ASTM D-1734)
  • Impact (ASTM D-2794)
  • Salt Spray Resistance (ASTM-B117)
  • Hardness (ASTM D-3363)
  • Adhesion (ASTM D-3359B)
